Long time away...


It's been a while since I last posted to this blog.... a lot has happened. I started a new job with neudesic llc. A great consulting company based in Irvine, CA. Founded by exMSFT folks and lots of exMCS people like me there. I'll try to be better being more timely.. I noticed that my hits have dropped a bit, but not much.

World's 1st 24kt Gold & Sapphires Macbook Air. For the initial price, I thought it should have been gold plated from the start... or at least have a few sapphires sprinkled around.

Apple Store Status

I added a widget from pingdom to the page that will show the status of the Apple Store. This is in big anticipation of what will be announced on Tuesday. In the past, the store goes down for a bit, then comes back up with the new products. From the pingdom site, some recent downtimes....

Never Mind: - AT&T To Offer iPhone Tethering Plan

It's a rumor as of now but it might be true. Very interesting. I previous had a Motorola Q phone and loved! PDANet that allowed me to tether my laptop to the Verizon network. It was great and the speed was adequate. I'm not expecting the high speed but the ability to tether in a pinch would be great.

UPDATE: Engadget states this is false... seems that I agree with their logic. Tethering in AT&T speak means using the USB connector to activate the phone.

Leopard 10.5.2 Update is Live, here's what it fixes

Leopard finally gets its second patch, and boy does it fix a lot of stuff. The first patch hit back in November, with test builds of the second making it out a month later. Here's a list of the major things the 10.5.2 patch fixes (including menubar transparency and Stacks).
