iPhone Tech Specs on Gizmodo

The detailed technical specs are posted on Gizmodo. The official Apple Inc. press release is also shown on this site. They don't have prices for the iPhone/Cingular service yet, but promise to announce them prior to the June launch.
The things I learned here are:
- the screen is 320 x 480 at 116 ppi (pixels per inch). This is roughly double the size of the Q, Dash, and Blackjack with a higher ppi.
- Actucal dimensions .46 inches thin and 4.8 ounces light.
- 15 hours of audio playback, which is longer than my 1st generation Nano.
- More detail on the sensors in the phone... ie: the screen turns off when you hold it to your ear to save power.
Some things I wish that I learned are:
- Can you add third party applications to the phone?
- It says that it supports all the iPod content including... everything except the 5G games.
- Navigating through songs is done with a flick of a finger... I'm used to my finger going in circles to navigate. It would be nice to have a virtual, on-screen click wheel as an option.
- Cigular is the exclusive partner for the iPhone, but for how long? I still have 18 months left on my Verizon contract.
I still think the iPhone is amazing, but I'm becoming less convinced that it's worth the price to be an early adopter.
