iPhone, uPhone, we allPhone...


MacWorld is reporting that Apple and Cisco are talking about the iPhone name. Sounds like a good deal for both parties according to the article. Apple makes sure that the iPhone works with Cisco(linksys) stuff, Cisco let's Apple have the name. Apple would have to make sure the phone works with Linksys wireless routers, so what's the holdup. I don't want to have to buy yet another URL in order to post this stuff.

Spring for a new iPhone???

Numerous sites are quoting numerous sites that are talking about possible rumors that say the iPhone may be available in late April. That would be a surprise. We'll probably learn more in the next few days. If they manage to pull this off, that would be amazing. Apple Insider seems to have the best coverage and is quoted both other rumor sites as well.

Verizon could have had the iPhone first


According to an article on the tech page of USA Today, Verizon had first dibs on the iPhone but rejected it due to control of distribution, customer service, and probably the 1% of fees to Apple for every iPhone on the Verizon network. It's a shame since I'm a Verizon user and it's a great network. Maybe someday in 2008/2009, we'll be able to get our hands on one.

iPhone-y - Clones coming fast


Engadget is reporting a very cool looking, but very illegal copyright violation phone from China. Who would sue first? Apple for the overall look of the phone, or Microsoft for the use of Vista background and icons?
