iPhoneAtom review

Thanks for the nice review of iPhoneAtom. This site has screenshots running on an actual iPhone. From the review:
A click on any category will lead to the latest headlines still in plain text format. Clicking a headline will lead you directly to the website the news was taken from. Because of the nature of feeds, load time is fairly quick since it’s text based. I assume since this is designed specifically for the iPhone - it will only lead users to iPhone compatible sites without the bells and whistles of flash enabled sites.

Evidence found that the iPhone will get games

Download Squad digs into iTunes software code and discovers evidence that games are coming for the iPhone!

It's only in the UK iTunes video store and embedded in the code.

/* ===== iPhone Game Item Strings ===== */
"4329.001" = "Are you sure you want to remove the selected game from your iPhone?";
"4329.002" = "Are you sure you want to remove the selected games from your iPhone?";

Could be interesting. I don't think the phone is a good platform for traditional "MAME" type games due to the lack of buttons and joystick. Games like Big Brain Academy on the Nintendo DS may work fairly well. The tilt sensor may bring a new type of game to the iPhone as well.

UPDATE: Someone ported NES to the iPhone. Video here:

iPhoneAtom is pretty popular

Wow, I must have been dugg by someone or more people got iPhones. Of course the stats could be wrong. I went from a few hundred hits a day to over 6000 today. Thanks everyone. I am in the midst of another iPhone designed program that I hope is just as successful. You can hit the Feed Reader Tab on the main menu to check it out but you'll need to do it on an iPhone or use the Apple Safari 3.0 beta.

Don't forget to hit the ads and buy from the iPhone store!
